Communication from SGN - 22nd May 2025
We’re keen to ensure you are aware of gas works starting on 2 June on Shirburn Street and Road, the work will require road closures. These works are essential to ensure we can continue to maintain local supplies. Please can we ask for your support in sharing the following information with your wider networks, resident associations, and social forums – this will help locals plan journeys accordingly. Letters are being sent to residents immediately impacted by these works, attached is the letter for your reference. I will be contacting the local college and schools across the wider area asking them to Inform parents/pupils about these works and sending emails to local key stakeholders. We’ll also issue reminders to emergency services and responders who will already have been engaged with via the permit system. Bus companies are aware, we’re advising passengers to contact their service providers for the latest information about changes to service. We appreciate how disruptive road closures are for the community, we’ll be doing all we can to complete these works as quickly as possible. Whoever authorised those works needs to immediately go to A and E and get a brain scan , and the fact you haven't addressed the absolute joke that driving through your High street is laughable. SORT YOURSELVES OUT ! I'm sick of being stuck when I want to drive home. Draw on whatever brain cells you have left and fix it asap , the diversion in place is the most stupid thing I've ever come across and makes me want to put pins in my eyes
